Jaama wins Best Risk Management Category at the Techies

Jaama’s new Key2 Advanced Risk Profiles module has been recognised in the 2014 BusinessCar Fleet Technology Awards - known as the ‘Techies’ - to be the best risk management software available in the fleet industry.

Martin Evans, managing director at Jaama, the UK’s industry-leading fleet software provider said: “We have always worked on the premise that our products must have the capability to stay ahead of the industry’s continually evolving fleet management requirements.”

Jaama has once again raised the bar with its latest evolution of Key2 that includes the Advanced Risk Profiles module tool which has won the much coveted “Risk Management Award” in this year’s ‘Techies’.

Risk management is still high on the agenda for most organisations and that creates the need for fleet management software to provide the sophisticated tools needed to scrutinise multiple sets of data. The Key2 Advanced Risk Profiles module provides a holistic view of driver risk and integrates with the DVLA licence checking service which is also available from Jaama.

The Key2 Advanced Risk Profiles module delivers improved corporate compliance and driver safety which provides fleet decision-makers, fleet management companies, contract hire and leasing companies with the flexibility to configure their own driver risk definitions weighted by factors such as: driver age, road traffic accidents (cost, frequency, blameworthiness etc.), business miles per annum etc.

The weighting points associated with each area can then be accumulated to produce an individual driver total risk profile score, according to the company’s specified risk criterion. The score is stored against the driver record and intelligently linked by the system to an associated licence checking frequency dependant on risk.

Additionally, notification e-mails can be scheduled to be sent to individual managers. For example line managers and depot managers will want to know if one of their driver moves into a new risk band rating which could prompt remedial action to be taken. The movement between bandings could, for example, change a drivers’ status from authorised to unauthorised, increase the frequency of licence checks or flag the need for training.

Paul Barker, editor of fleet industry publication BusinessCar, said: “Jaama once more impressed the judges with the quality of its Key2 system and its ability to help fleet operators identify and proactively manage high risk drivers. The clever risk score system, weighted against a company’s own safety criteria, is a very intelligent and intuitive way of assessing the ever increasing priority of driver risk management. It’s a job well done to Jaama for helping fleets manage a difficult area of their business.”

Two years ago Jaama achieved a Fleet Technology Awards double by winning both the Best Risk Management System and Best Contract Hire and Leasing System categories. Those wins followed the previous year’s success in the Best Fleet Management System category.

Mr Evans said: “Jaama is at the forefront of providing technical solutions to fleet managers and our awards success is testimony to that.

“In developing the Key2 Advanced Risk Profile module we have responded to our customers’ needs and given them the ability to make a more detailed risk analysis of their drivers and visibility of each driver’s risk profile. The module provides a clear audit trail for any business by monitoring, assessing and managing drivers’ risk.”

The BusinessCar ‘Techies’ are the industry’s only technology-specific awards designed to reward those companies whose clever use of technology makes business car fleet operation easier, cheaper, cleaner, safer and more straightforward. Now in their sixth year, the ‘Techies’ are judged by the publication’s expert and experienced editorial panel and cover all the major sectors of the corporate marketplace.
