Updated with more information on a host of topical areas, the seminars reflect best practice and the impact of changing legislation and taxation in a number of key areas.

The spring 2014 seminars will focus on a wide range of fleet management issues including: fuel cost management, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) compliance, changes to company car benefit-in-kind taxation up to 2016/17, the late last year introduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Directors’ Reports) Regulations 2013 as well as topics such as key performance indicators to measure to ensure optimum fleet efficiency and effectiveness, grey fleet management, car salary sacrifice schemes, employee driving licence checking and reducing the administrative burden of fleet management through technology.

The seminars, hosted by the fleet management software and occupational road safety specialist, have proved extremely popular over the years with a wide cross-section of full-time professional fleet decision-makers as well as administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles.

Fleet Managements Essentials seminars will be held on:

Tuesday, 1 April 2014 – Jaama’s head office, Tamworth
Wednesday, 2 April, 2014 – Ashwell Country Club, Brentwood
Thursday, 3 April, 2014 – Hellaby Hall Hotel, Rotherham
Thursday, 10 April, 2014 – Castle Combe Circuit, nr Chippenham

Almost 1,000 people have so far attended Jaama’s Fleet Management Essential seminars where they have been able to learn about best practice strategies in key operational areas, the very latest legislation and forthcoming regulatory changes, and the application of fleet strategies that will deliver cost savings.

Ellie Whiten, Jaama marketing manager, said: “Our seminar programme has proved very popular over the years and undoubtedly helps fleet decision-makers run an effective, efficient and legal fleet of vehicles and drivers.

“The seminars are particularly attractive to administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles, as well as fleet professionals who require an update on new legislation and a refresher on best practice and new developments in managing a fleet of vehicles.”
