The exemplary driving skills on an F1 simulator of Douglas Robinson have won him two tickets for this year’s British Grand Prix.
Mr Robinson, a director of Lancashire-based Black Box Security Alarm Systems, clocked the fastest lap on the F1 simulator on leading fleet management software provider Jaama’s stand at the recent Fleet Show.
The annual Fleet Show, organised by industry publication Fleet World, was held at the world famous Silverstone Circuit and Mr Robinson will return to the venue on July 5th to watch the British Grand Prix.
The prize also included an on-site car parking pass. All visitors to Jaama’s stand at the event were invited to pit their driving skills against fellow delegates on an F1 simulator in a ‘Top Gear’-style fastest lap competition. Mr Robinson returned the best time of one minute 40.76 seconds.
Meanwhile, Jaama is busy following up a string of new business opportunities as a result of it having a successful Fleet Show.
At the event, Jaama, showcased its award-winning Key2 Vehicle Management System and promoted its driver licence checking service, which is delivered online and provides a complete audit trail of driver information and licence checks helping towards comprehensive road safety and duty of care compliance.
Licence2Check is available as a standalone product or as a fully-integrated module within Jaama’s multi award-winning Key2 Vehicle Management system.
Managing director Martin Evans said: “The 2015 Fleet Show was a great success for Jaama. The event provided excellent networking opportunities with existing and potential customers.
“We are having discussions with a number of potential customers and we have further meetings planned with those organisation as well as exploratory talks with other fleet decision-makers who visited our Show stand.”
