Jaama, the UK’s leading fleet industry asset management software system provider, is to further increase its supply of Key2 into the commercial vehicle sector following business success at the recent Commercial Vehicle Show.

Jaama exhibited its multi award-winning web-based vehicle, driver and workshop management solution Key2 at the Show in April.

New business leads secured at the event held at NEC in Birmingham, have triggered a series of meetings with commercial vehicle fleet, transport and workshop managers.

Jaama managing director Martin Evans said: “The Commercial Vehicle Show has once again proved to be a hot bed of lead generation for Jaama. Our sales team is now busy following up leads and I am confident that many of those meetings will translate into companies with commercial vehicle fleets and operating their own workshops implementing Key2 to drive forward business efficiencies.”

Jaama, an Associate member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and a partner to the Freight Transport Association’s Van Excellence scheme, is firmly focused on helping fleets achieve compliance best practice through implementation of Key2.

Many Jaama customers have already achieved FORS bronze, silver or gold accreditation and are also Van Excellence accredited.

UK organisations collectively managing more than 800,000 vehicles, company car and commercial vehicle drivers and own-vehicle drivers and their own workshops currently use Key2 and that number is already significantly growing in 2017.

With both standards becoming ever-more crucial in the battle to win business and show compliance requirements are being met, alongside employers being a member of the Construction Logistics and Cyclist Safety (CLOCS) community to revolutionise the management of work-related road risk, Key2 is being used by organisations to meet legislative standards.

Jaama specifically highlighted two new Key2 developments at the Show: vehicle inspection sheets within the Workshop touchscreen module and ‘My Vehicle App’.

The touchscreen application allows technicians to view their work allocation and record their time against each vehicle work item.

In addition, a technician is able to complete a vehicle service/inspection checklist sheet, which is fully configurable/customisable. Each check on the list has three options – completed, requires attention or not applicable – and if a technician’s work on a vehicle service/inspection is interrupted the sophisticated technology will return to the appropriate page on resumption. On completion, checklist sheets are stored against the Key2 Workshop job sheet.

Meanwhile, ‘My Vehicle App’ is a genuine fleet and transport industry game-changer, delivering benefits to managers thanks to ‘auto-triggering’, as well as simplifying tasks for drivers.

Unlike other apps, ‘My Vehicle App’ not only provide drivers with information. Critically, data/information uploaded by drivers via the app automatically updates data/information and populates records held within Jaama’s Key2 asset management system.
