Jaama Secures Fleet Interest in Maintenance Exchange

Jaama, the UK’s leading fleet and asset management software solution provider, has reported a “hugely successful” 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show with significant fleet and transport operator interest in its revolutionary Maintenance Exchange platform.

What’s more, Show visitor interest in Jaama’s core multi award-winning Key2 fleet and asset management system has triggered a near-50% rise on last year in the number of post-event meetings with fleet and transport operators.

The recent NEC, Birmingham, Commercial Vehicle Show provided an opportunity for Jaama to preview Maintenance Exchange, which will be officially launched during Q4 of 2019. The maintenance and compliance platform will revolutionise the way information is exchanged between:

  • Fleet management companies
  • Maintenance providers
  • End-user fleets

The new platform will connect fleet management companies or end-user fleets to maintenance suppliers, whilst significantly reducing the administrative burden of manual processes and is yet another step from Jaama towards paperless asset management.

It is an ‘end to end’ system which will allow seamless booking, authorisation, invoicing and auditing of vehicle maintenance work. The innovative new product connects with Key2 fleet or can interface with other third party systems.

Maintenance Exchange is being launched by Jaama to streamline the exchange of vehicle maintenance information along with related documentation - typically MoT certifications, vehicle inspection sheets, servicing and routine maintenance documents - between maintenance suppliers and fleet management companies/end-user fleets.

Vehicle maintenance work can also be authorised through the platform and built-in rule sets mean that invoices for jobs carried out can be paid in a timely manner once all required documentation is supplied by the maintenance supplier.

Martin Evans, managing director of Jaama, said: “Maintenance Exchange further enables commercial vehicle fleets to embrace technology to drive administration and operational efficiencies as we move ever-closer to a paperless business environment.

“This year’s Commercial Vehicle Show was hugely successful for Jaama with significant interest in Maintenance Exchange from both existing Key2 users and new prospects. They are excited for its release in Q4 2019.

“Visitors to Jaama’s Commercial Vehicle Show stand increasingly recognise the importance of implementing cutting-edge vehicle and driver management software solutions to drive operating efficiencies and understand that Maintenance Exchange is a further development in enabling that mission to be achieved.”

Mr Evans added: “The Commercial Vehicle Show has once again proved to be a hot bed of lead generation for Jaama. Our sales team is now busy following up leads and I am confident that many of those meetings will translate into companies with commercial vehicle fleets and operating their own workshops implementing Key2 to drive forward business efficiencies.”

Jaama, an Associate member of the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) and a partner to the Freight Transport Association’s Van Excellence scheme, is firmly focused on helping commercial vehicle fleets deliver operating best practice and legislative compliance through Key2 implementation.

Customers managing more than a 1.25 million vehicles already use Key2 and 2018 was a record year for the company with turnover up 22% on the previous 12 months. Furthermore, new users were slightly biased towards commercial vehicle operations with 63% of units added being vans and HGVs.
