Jaama is confident of securing a raft of new contracts for its industry-leading Key2 Rental Management software from plant hire rental companies following new business opportunities generated at this year’s Executive Hire Show.
The company exhibited for the second consecutive year at the Show and the impact that its Key2 Rental Management software is having on the industry was highlighted by its inclusion in the event’s Innovation Trail, which was introduced this year.

Throughout the recent two-day Show at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, Jaama demonstrated the capability of its functionally rich system.

Built for the Microsoft.NET framework and using Smart Client technology, Key2 Rental Management is an intuitive, easy to navigate, simple to use yet functionally-packed web-based business tool.

Key2 stores and actively manages and monitors all aspects of plant, asset, stores management, the hire of both single items and plant packs, rehire, cross-hire, operator hire and management, sale items, ordering, quotations, contracts, equipment maintenance and invoicing and is available with fully integrated accounts.

It enables reports to be produced, saved, scheduled and automatically distributed, enabling operators to manage by exception and make strategic business decisions.
The system also seamlessly integrates with other internal and external business software systems.

Additionally, more than 100 stand visitors, as well as discussing their software requirements and viewing the in-depth capabilities of Key2, received a special free gift.

Jaama sales and operations director Martin Evans said: “Jaama has spent the last 12 months fine tuning Key2 Rental Management to provide plant hire operators with the right tools to successfully manage their business.

“With constantly squeezed margins, an increasing number of plant hire rental companies, as demonstrated at the Show, are realising that good software can bring real benefits.

“Key2 has many attributes as we demonstrated to stand visitors including the ability to identify the cost versus income for each item of plant equipment which can then be reported in a league table to ensure hire companies only buy plant that has good profit margin opportunities.

“There was significant interest in the recently introduced ‘Key2 Today’ screen which is a configurable and graphical screen displaying key performance indicators such as asset profitability and utilisation along with drill down ability to view the related assets in respect of equipment due to be replaced, inspections required, compliance statistics etc.”

Key2 Rental Management – launched in 2012 – is the most advanced, flexible web-based product on the market and Mr Evans said: “Our team is now busy following up the many business leads generated at the Show.

“We are confident that over the coming months business discussions started at the Show will translate into sales of Key2 software to plant hire rental companies.”
