Cutting the fleet administration burden and utilising data to deliver financial savings are two of the many returns on investment that commercial vehicle fleets can expect from using Jaama’s multi award-winning vehicle and driver management online software solution Key2.

Furthermore as the fleet industry continues to evolve so should fleet software, which is why when commercial vehicle operators choose their solution partner they should focus not only on the current offering, but a supplier’s future proofing ability.

A fleet’s chosen software provider must be able to deliver a highly sophisticated, modern, online system, and be fully focused on continuous product development and functionality improvements and visitors to this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show - at the NEC in Birmingham, from 26-28 April - will be able to view Jaama’s industry-leading solution.

Jaama has an established industry-wide reputation for cutting-edge technology innovation since launching more than a decade ago and it was a further reason why Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction companies, chose to introduce Key2 following a comprehensive marketplace review.

Skanska’s expansion through acquisition meant the fleet department led by head of fleet Julie Madoui was operating on two systems functioning in parallel. That was proving to be administratively cumbersome and operationally inefficient.

Operating a UK-wide fleet of some 2,500 vehicles comprising 1,600 company cars, 650 light commercial vehicles and 250 heavy commercial vehicles, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) silver accredited company and Freight Transport Association’s Van Excellence scheme member also uses its vehicle management software to manage some plant equipment assets.

“We wanted a system to not only manage our vehicle and equipment assets and hold all information in a single location, but also to interface with our HR system, feed data back to our finance department and link with our workshops and stores,” explained Ms Madoui. “Future proofing the system was key and ensuring that we could add to the software in the future.”

She added: “The management information available is powerful and has enabled us to remove lots of spreadsheets. The ability to link data from different parts of the system enables us to make business critical decisions and save money.”
