Significant expansion has assisted Jaama become an international provider of asset management software systems that manage all aspects of fleet, plant, rental, leasing, maintenance and repair and a wide range of ancillary requirements.
However, the Tamworth-based company, which now has some 50 staff, is reliant on the pool of local people to provide its skills base ranging from software developers to account managers and customer service executives.
Launched almost 12 years ago, Jaama has defied the recession with continual year-on-year growth. Last year Jaama recorded a 17% increase in revenue as an ever-increasing number of organisations utilised web-enabled technology to manage their fleet and transport operations.
The company is the most recommended fleet management software provider in the UK and that has enabled it to expand overseas and provide systems to companies in Australia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States of America.
Jaama managing director Martin Evans said: “More than 11 years ago we launched in Tamworth with a small team of people. Since then we have expanded year-on-year and that has necessitated moves to larger business premises and continuous growth of our employee base.”
Over the years Jaama has won many fleet industry awards, but winning an inaugural Tamworth Business and Community Award delighted Mr Evans.
He said: “We are proud of our local roots and our business success is due to the talented employees that we have recruited from within the town and surrounding area. Our continual expansion means that we have a strong interest in the well-being of the Tamworth community.”
The inaugural Tamworth Business and Community Awards were organised by publishers Midlands Business News to celebrate “the very best in Tamworth”. The winners of the 14 award categories ranging from retailers to manufacturers to property and technology companies were revealed at a dinner at the Tower Suite, Drayton Manor Park.
