Jaama has spent the last 12 months fine tuning its Key2 Rental Management software to provide plant hire operators with the right tools to successfully manage their business.

With constantly squeezed margins, plant hire rental companies are realising that good software can bring real benefits.
Key2 enables customers to identify the cost versus income for each item of plant equipment which can then be reported in a league table to ensure hire companies only buy plant that has good profit margin opportunities.

Jaama will be exhibiting its Key2 software at The Executive Hire Show being held on February 6 and 7, 2013 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, with the company (stand number D40) returning for a second time following its debut at last year’s event.

Key2 Rental Management – launched in 2012 – is the most advanced, flexible web-based product on the market. With Jaama’s on-going development and investment, Key2 Rental Management is at the forefront of innovative management for the hire and rental industries.

Built for the Microsoft.NET framework and using Smart Client technology, Key2 Rental Management is an intuitive, easy to navigate, simple to use yet functionally-packed web-based business tool.

The system stores and actively manages and monitors all aspects of plant, asset, stores management, the hire of both single items and plant packs, rehire, cross-hire, operator hire and management, sale items, ordering, quotations, contracts, equipment maintenance and invoicing and is available with fully integrated accounts.

The functionally rich system enables reports to be produced, saved, scheduled and distributed, enabling operators to manage by exception and make strategic business decisions. The system also seamlessly integrates with other internal and external business software systems.

The recently introduced ‘Key2 Today’ screen development is a fully configurable and graphical overview of an organisation’s rental operation that can be interrogated. Current status information relating to any aspect of the rental operation can be viewed instantaneously such as assets due to be replaced, equipment inspections due, compliance statistics etc.

Jaama sales and operations director Martin Evans said: “When a user logs into the system, business ‘key performance indicators’ will be displayed. Users can then see at a glance critical information required to make daily business decisions thereby saving valuable time and resources trawling through pages of information and statistics.

“Whether a single user or multi-site hire company, Key2 Rental Management can help control costs, improve asset utilisation, ensure legislative compliance and increase profitability by making costs and income transparent.

“One of the many other reasons why Key2 Rental Management has been very well received since its launch across the plant and tool hire industry is because it provides the essential management information required by companies to make strategic business decisions.”
