Find out why Jaama is the Contract Hire and Leasing industries number one choice for business solutions!

Key2 Contract Hire and Leasing, the multi award-winning technology platform from Jaama is the operating system of choice for many FN50 contract hire and leasing companies.

Jaama’s Key2 platform is technically advanced, highly configurable and makes for a very attractive proposition for leasing companies as it negates the need to for them to spend vast amounts of time and money developing in-house systems.

An increasing number of vehicle leasing companies have decided to opt for Jaama’s Key2 system and Jaama currently has 9 customers within the Fleet News ‘FN50’.

Jaama attribute their success to the perpetual investment of some £2 million a year in the continuing development of Key2 but, critically, many of these enhancements are as a result of collaborative working with their customers who are all focused on ways to reduce manual intervention and improve their customers’ experience.

Numerous initiatives have been brought to market by Jaama as a result of collaboration with customers including:

  • A Customer Dashboard that can be customised and provides leasing companies’ clients with online access to a suite of reports providing a real-time comprehensive overview of their own fleets; for example JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions has branded its ‘Fleet Controller’.
  • A V5C on Demand service developed in the wake of the Government’s decision to digitalise vehicle registration certificates negates the need for hard copies of V5’s to be stored by enabling the related information to be managed online.
  • The award-winning ‘MyVehicle App’, which integrates in real-time with Key2 and includes: defect managing, accident logging and providing drivers with self-service information such as fleet related telephone numbers and policy information.

The most recent Key2 enhancement is a new eSignature Module enabling a document to be sent from the software, signed using an electronic signature, and then instantly returned back into the system.

The functionality speeds up any process that previously required documents to be printed, have a ‘wet’ signature and then manually uploaded such as new vehicle driver handovers or daily rental agreements.

Brian Kirby, systems director, JCT600 Vehicle Leasing Solutions, a Key2 user for seven years, said: “We have pushed for development of eSignature and believe it is possibly the first application of electronic signatures in the fleet industry.

“We plan to initially roll out eSignature for customers’ Masterhire agreements, then for quote acceptance and order acceptance documents. Ultimately eSignature will be used for all documents that require a client’s signature. It is the latest initiative as we continue working towards a paperless environment.”

He added: “The eSignature rule sets that we have adopted mean that where documents require multiple customer signatures they are automatically emailed to those individuals thereby reducing the administration burden for our clients.”

Andy Stephen, business support director, Ogilvie Fleet, commenting on collaborative working with Jaama and the benefits of working as a partnership to progress technological functionality and increase operational benefits, said: “Delivering the best customer service in the industry is key for Ogilvie Fleet and part of that is using technology to provide management information, which is what fleet decision-makers and drivers require.”

Ogilvie Fleet has used Key2 for almost a decade and Mr Stephen added: “We have an industry-leading system that through continual collaboration on software enhancements, including new module developments, ensures Ogilvie Fleet remains at the cutting-edge. System development has been the engine room behind the scenes in terms of underpinning the company’s business growth in recent years.”

Days Fleet has used Key2 for the past six years and worked with Jaama to introduce both a client dashboard and internet-based Quotation Module which enables the company to provide its broker partners with contract hire quotations online as well as facilitating bespoke quotations to fleet managers and drivers. The company has also been involved in the development of eSignature, which it will look to introduce in the summer, and has implemented a co-developed interface with its purchasing platform.

Managing director Aled Williams said: “Collaboration is key to Days Fleet being able to continue what we are doing, which is offering alternatives in the market. We aim to provide solutions to our clients that further drive cost-saving efficiencies and compliance rather than simply being a pure vehicle leasing company.

“Embracing new technology is something which we pride ourselves on and identifying solutions for our clients using innovative ways of being able to improve the operation of their fleet is part of our ongoing partnership with Jaama.”
