Jaama is hosting four more of its popular one-day Fleet Management Essentials seminars next month.
Significantly updated this year with more information on a host of topical areas, the seminars reflect best practice and the impact of legislation in a number of key areas including grey fleet management, car salary sacrifice schemes and employee driving licence checking.
The seminars, hosted by the fleet management software and occupational road safety specialist, have proved extremely popular over the years with a wide cross-section of full-time professional fleet decision-makers as well as administrators and managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles.
Additionally, delegates will have the opportunity to trial Jaama’s RiskAssistant or FleetAssistant software free for three months.
Seminars start with registration at 9.30am and conclude with an open question and answer session from 4pm.
Fleet Managements Essentials seminars will be held on:
Tuesday 23 April, 2013 – Holiday Inn Leeds/Brighouse
Wednesday 24 April, 2013 – Jaama’s head office, Tamworth
Thursday, 25 April, 2013 – DeVere Hotel, Swindon
Tuesday 30 April, 2013 – Holiday Inn, Runcorn.
Almost 1,000 people have so far attended Jaama’s fleet seminars where they have been able to learn about best practice strategies in key operational areas, the very latest legislation and forthcoming regulatory changes, and the application of fleet strategies that will deliver cost savings.
In addition to ‘hot’ issues including grey fleet management, car salary sacrifice, employee driver licence checking and carbon footprint cutting strategies, the seminars will highlight:
The costs associated with running a vehicle fleet and how to effectively control and reduce them - including employer and employee taxation - in the continuing challenging economic climate
Key performance indicators to measure to ensure optimum fleet efficiency and effectiveness
How to carry out comprehensive risk assessments and implement robust risk management policies
The impact of the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 and how it effects organisations
How to reduce the administrative burden of fleet management by introducing technology
The impact of Driver CPC legislation and why it is important for businesses operating commercial and passenger-carrying vehicles.
Seminar prices have once again been held at the reduced price of £295 + VAT per delegate including all course documentation, policies (usually priced at £120), lunch and refreshments.
In addition to the opportunity to a free three-month trial of Jaama’s RiskAssistant or FleetAssistant software, delegates will be given policy templates and best practice fact sheets which they can adapt to meet their own fleet requirements.
Jaama’s sales and operations director Martin Evans said: “Our entire seminar programme has proved very popular in the nine years it has been running.
“The seminars are particularly attractive to administrators and, managers who have the responsibility but not necessarily the experience or specialist knowledge of running a fleet of vehicles as well as fleet professionals who require an update on new legislation and a refresher on best practice and new developments in managing a fleet of vehicles.
“The whole area of fleet management can be daunting, especially in the current climate of stringent cost control, environmental impact reduction and ensuring comprehensive duty of care for employees. In addition, we recognise and appreciate that operators of smaller or employee-owned fleets do not always have the luxury of a full time dedicated fleet manager and often the responsibility for the fleet can be across departments meaning that the impact of new legislation and refinements to best practice can be missed.”
